Web Info for D36 Clubs
Clubs are the promoters of District 36 events. District 36 is
here to help clubs put on successful events and to help them bring more
riders to their events in the future. I will do everything I can to help
you, the clubs, to promote your events via the District 36 web site.
I need to get the necessary information from you help promote your event
online. In order to be able to do as much as I can in my limited spare
time (Hey, I have a job, and racing comes in as a close 2nd).
Here is a list of things we need from you guys:
All Clubs:
-
Contact email address for your club (preferably from someone who checks
email often).
-
Web URL if your club has a web site.
-
Address and phone number contacts. Don't forget to let the D36 secretary
know so we can get all the records updated.
-
Please check the list to make sure what we have now is right and correct.
Cross Country or Motocross Promoters:
-
Event flyer in pdf, word, html, gif, or jpg format (under 100k file size
please!) Email the flyer to the steward, and once he approves it he will
get it to me for posting ASAP. If you use gif or jpg, please make sure it is readable!
-
Event hype. Email me a paragraph or two about 2 weeks before your event.
Talk about the course, terrain, or whatever you want for promo.
-
Results. (Cross Country - If we continue with district run bar code scoring
this may in fact be done by the district)
-
Pictures - If you have any pictures scanned of your event, send them to
me and I will try to incorporate them into the site wherever possible.
Enduro Promoters:
-
Event flyer in pdf, word, html, gif, or jpg format (under 100k file size
please!) Email the flyer to the steward, and once he approves it he will
get it to me for posting ASAP. If you use gif or jpg, please make sure it is readable!
-
Event hype. Email me a paragraph or two about 2 weeks before your event.
Talk about the course, terrain, or whatever you want for promo.
-
Event Route Sheet. Riders may be more incline to come to the event if they
can program their computers ahead of time (thus being able to show up later).
If at all possible, please try to get me the route sheet in either plain
text or microsoft excel format as soon as you have them finalized.
-
Results. RESULTS RESULTS! In this day and age, riders are eager to find
out their results asap. I get a handful of emails every week of riders
asking when results are going to be posted. It is up to the clubs
to get the results out to the stewards as soon as humanly possible.
We should all be shooting for same day results in the year 2000. Email
your results to Alan Plumbridge in Microsoft Excel format if at all possible.
Alan will approve them and get them to me for posting. Once again, the
sooner the better!
-
Pictures - If you have any pictures scanned of your event, send them to
me and I will try to incorporate them into the site wherever possible.
Flat Track Promoters
-
If you have any flyers for the series or individual events, please email
them to me.
-
If you have photos, email them to me!
-
If you want me to post results or standings, lets get together and figure
out a plan!
IF you are not computer savvy, I will try my best to work with you. I am
just trying to minimize the leg work I have to do to get stuff posted to
the site in a timely manner. If you do not have a digital copy of your
flyer then snail mail one to me, and I will make sure it gets scanned and
posted.
Here is a list of what NOT to do:
-
Do not email me your flyer! Send it to your steward and he will get it
to me.
-
Do not email me your results! Send it to your steward and he will get it
to me.
Please let me know if you have any stories that you want me to post...we
are always looking for things to add to the site!
I will be making lots of improvements to the site in the next two months,
but please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Information you need to know

Alan Plumbridge (Enduro Steward) email address: alan.plumbridge@ncal.kaiperm.org
-
Chris Sykes (Cross Country Steward) email address: PCDC1@prodigy.net
-
Heather Wilson (Secretary) email address:
-
Jim Matheson email address: d36@ama-d36.org
* Please send attachments and things to be posted to the web site to
the ama-d36.org account. This makes it so i do not have to make an extra
level of transferring in order to get things posted to the site!
-
Please check http://www.ama-d36.org/Clubs
(or click on Member Clubs off the main page) for information during the
season. I will be adding things to this area for the clubs to know (ie
this page will be posted there). I am also flirting with adding an online
flyer (clubs can create a somewhat generic flyer on the fly via the web).
There will also be downloadable official entry forms, and D36 and AMA logos
to use for display on your flyers.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! I am not trying to scare
anyone away, I am just trying to make things run smoothly for ALL of us!
