Committee Reports:
Cross Country – Steward Chris Sykes reported:
- Ski Run Scrambles #14 in the series held at Donner Ski Ranch on Sunday October 22nd by the High Sierra MC. The weather was clear, and very cold & windy. The riders loved it. The conditions were 200% better than last year. The scoring system used was check point. The A & B results were posted in time but the C’s were late. There was only one protest, which later was withdrawn. An A Vet Rider got lost and joined back on the course in first place. He did step forward and notify the referee. The referee put this rider back into 2nd. The 3rd place rider started to protest that the lost rider should have been docked a lap. Later he decided to drop the protest and leave the results as is. Cole Marshall won the over all.
- Lillipution Hare Scramble #15 in the series held at Prairie City on Sunday November 15th by the Dirt Diggers North MC. There were 130 A & B riders and 178 C riders for a total of 308 riders. There were 67 District cards sold, 13 day cards, and 5 family cards for a total of 95 cards. The conditions were sunny. The scoring system used was Check Point. A, B, & C results were all posted just in time (1 1/2hrs) after the events. All the A’s were started on the same row and all the B’s were started in the same row. Robby Zimmerman won the over-all.
- Gambonini’s results are currently under protest in the C class.
Enduro – Steward Alan Plumbridge reported:
- Jackhammer Enduro held at Stonyford, CA on Sunday October 22nd. There were 214 entrants for the event. Conditions were dry and dusty, previous days high winds resulted in a few trees being blown down at different points along the course. Course lay out was good using a large portion of the area. The course varied from tight woods sections to the 2 track trails in the lower reaches of the area late in the race. Rider feedback for the event was good. Results were posted same day as unofficial, no trophies were awarded. Two injuries reported – one broken collar bone and one cut arm.
- Cowbell Enduro held at Middle Creek, Ca on Sunday November 4th. There were 237 entrants for the event. Conditions were excellent, previous days rains left the course in great shape. Riders were treated to long sections of single track and even were part of the packing process for a new trail the Forest Service recently cut in, they had requested this trail to be part of the event for the purpose of packing it in. Tim Stowe was the Overall winner of the event. Rider feedback for the event reflected the great conditions and trail selection. Results were posted same day as unofficial, no trophies awarded. One injury reported – Broken collarbone.
- WFO Enduro held at Stonyford, CA on Sunday November 12th. There were 151 entrants for the event. Conditions were icy, previous days rains & snow left the course conditions on the slippery side. Excellent usage of trails in the upper part of the riding area with lots of single track. Damien Galford was the Overall winner of the event. Results were posted 2 days after the event. 3 injuries reported.
- Next event will be the Barefoot family Enduro on November 19th. The final Enduro event of the year will be the Buckhorn on November 25th at Shasta Dam.

Meeting called to order at 8:30 p.m. by President Eddie Diaz
Competition Committee Meeting:
- Joel and Josh Ray were present to file a protest against the MCMA Club. Joel reported that he was in the C 250 class and on the first lap the leader broke a ribbon. When he got to that turn he went straight and joined back onto the course cutting out a significant amount of course. This was corrected on the second lap. This ribbon down effected about 14 riders or so. The exact amount was not clear. The club decided to dock these riders a lap and the riders feel it was the clubs fault and they should not be penalized. The club feels that something must be done to be fair to the rest of the riders who didn’t miss this section. The penalty for these riders is what’s in dispute.
- Both the club and the riders gave some background details, current imformation and answered questions about this issue.
- The competition committee discussed and weighed all the information presented, then voted to change the penalty.
- The riders in this 250 class that missed the turn will be separated into their own class and will receive trophies against each other. The other 250 C riders will also have their own class and receive trophies as well. The 250 C riders that missed the turn will not be included in the over-all C results. Both 250 C groups will receive Class Advancement points for this race.

Board of Directors Meeting
Meeting called to order: 9:16 p.m. by President Eddie Diaz
Guests: Josh Anello, Dan Goodwin, and Doug Pine.
1st meeting fo the new board recently elected at the sanctioning meeting
New Business
- Jaime Williams exposed the fact that the Bylaws were not followed in our recent election by the clubs for the Board Members. The bylaws state that a nominee must be an active committeeman for 2 years before surving on the board. This effects the election of Brian Butler and Kevin Yost at the Sanctioning meeting this year. This rule can be over ruled by a 2/3 vote of the clubs. The revote will be held at the next district meeting on December 20th at 7 p.m. Two members from each club may vote on this matter.
- Next years schedule is up on the web. Motul will be a part of the series. Kawasaki is also a part of the cross country series.
- Josh Anello was voted committeeman to help with the web site.
Old Business
- Dirt Tracks appeal from last months meeting is being protested by the original protestor. Gary Moore was present to ask the board to reverse the decision made on last month appeal and return to the original decision made in September. No motion was made on this subject. Gary agreed not to make changes to the points system until the 2000 series was completed.
¨
There was a discussion on Ralph Lee the Dirt Track Steward. Gary Moore was upset with the consistency of Ralph’s decisions. If presented details and Ralph had a chance to respond. It was decided that Ralph could use an assistant and a board member nominated Gary Moore to Committeeman to assist Dirt Track. No decision was made. Both parties are considering the new arrangement.
- Dave Wood appealed the decision made by the board in the last meeting on his protest. Dave still pushes for the results being final on the day of the race and could not be altered. His penalty of a docked lap was not in compliance with the rule book. Dave gave more details and answered questions from the Board members. The Board weighed all the evidence and made a second decision.
- The decision by the board in Octobers meeting will be upheld with no changes. Dave will keep the docked lap and the race results remain the same.
