LAO:
Eddie Diaz reported:
- BRC has paid for the first 10 ads that the district agreed to sponsor in San Francisco area. The District will reimburse the cost.
- We will let you know when they can be heard.
Cross Country Youth: Al Fitch reported:
- Next event is Metcalf.
- The scoring computers are all ready to go.
Good of the Body:
- P&D Promotions is looking to put on a Short Track event on 11/10. This will be held at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds Sunday at noon.
- From Jill Patterson: Unfortunately, it is time to remind everyone (again) to remember that it is everyone’s responsibility to follow some basic and simple common sense rules when out riding our dirt bikes or quads at any public riding area.
- Stay to the RIGHT side (your side) of the trails/roads.
- If you can’t see around a corner, SLOW down.
- If you come across a rider going the opposite direction, move to the right. 95% of the time the other rider going the opposite direction is going to move to the right.
- Do NOT panic. Do NOT lock up your back brake. (You will not be able to steer to avoid a collision).
There are more and more riders out there on the trails, There are less and less trails to ride on. Our riding areas are more crowded and there is a greater chance for serious accidents.
Board Nominations:
Al Fitch, John Davis, Jaime Williams, Rich Fern, Randy Patterson, Dave Pickett, Brian Butler, Bill Buffington

Meeting called to order at 8:45 p.m. by president Eddie Diaz
Banquet:
- The hall has been paid for and reserved.
Cross Country: Chris Sykes reported:
- Looking at doing training during the year on the laptop for individual clubs. Also looking at having a scoring crew that will score all the events for the clubs.
New Business:
- Harley Nights for Dirt Track. There was a great turnout but there was some bad programming in the events causing some serious problems. There were a lot of delays due to this. The racing was awesome with some really great battles. The track was in great condition and a little fast.
- Dirt Track is looking at cutting down their race schedule from the current 44 events they are running. Looking at maybe just 30 in the year.
- A club was charged the same price for emailed labels as the printed labels. Questioning this bill. Discussion on setting a lower price for the email of labels being less than the printed labels. Board voted on this and decided to offer the electronic labels free of charge to our clubs. Printed labels will run $40.00. Passed.
- BRC was at the Downyville down hill bicycle race. They signed up 15-20 new members and had their banners all over the bicycle course.
Adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
