William E. “Bill” Scarlett Jr.

William “Bill” E. Scarlett, Jr. Oct 7, 1952 ~ Apr 14, 2011 Resident of Livermore Bill entered into rest on April 14, 2011 at the age of 58.

Bill graduated from Hayward High School and was a retired carpenter for the San Leandro School District. He was a lifelong avid motorcyclist and lifetime member of the Hayward Motorcycle club and the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed snow skiing, mountain biking and road biking.

Bill is survived by his wife; Carey, Mother; Joan Scarlett, Father; Bill Scarlett Sr. and stepmother; Terry Scarlett, Mother-in-law; Peggy Horsfall, Sister; Nancy Scarlett, Brother; Pete Scarlett, Shaun Scarlett, Stepbrothers; Vernon Smith, Kenneth Smith and Shane Smith, Brother-in-law; Keith Horsfall, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncle, cousins, his special Labs, Scooter and Carli and his extended family of friends.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on May 7, 2011 at 11am at Celebration Christian Center, 1135 Bluebell Dr., Livermore.

2011 Phantom Youth Hare Scrambles Makeup Race Cancelled

Regretfully after reviewing all information to reschedule the Phantom Youth Races that were postponed in March, Ghostriders MC had to make the difficult decision to not hold the make-up race. The financial hardship on the club was going to be too great to bear. We had hoped that some of the costs already paid would carryover to a new date. This was not the only reason that drove the decision, but definitely the one hurdle we could not overcome and have the ability to host the Phantoms in 2012.

We hope that the racers and families of District 36 Youth CC Series understand that this is not the direction our club wanted to take, and look forward to seeing all of you at the 2012 Phantoms.

The 2011 D36 Outlaw HS on Sept 17-18 as been postponed for D36 Series only at this time.

The AMA National Outlaw HS (on same dates) has been cancelled.

The club is dealing with a new paved road and BLM Insurance demands (due to crash down south last year) and are trying to keep event going or find a new location.

Watch for updates as they are learned.
